Introduction To join the BBS Parents’ Committee, a parent should have had a child at the school for at least two consecutive years and should approve of school policies and regulations. One parent is elected per class and the committee is elected for three years. The parents’ committee represents students and their guardians at the Parents’ Committee Union as well as at the Ministry of Education. Objectives The parents’ committee assists the school administration in promoting the student’s best interests. The school administration and the parents’ committee jointly agree on decisions relating to students’ academic and ethical matters. The administration notifies the parents’ committee of developments at school relating to the teaching and educational process. The committee convenes bimonthly. The school administration may also call meetings to discuss the scholastic budget plan and approve any expected increases to the school fees.
The
parents’ committee studies all suggestions or complaints made by parents
and discusses relevant issues with the school administration. |
